Hi, I’m Tara!
I am a wholehearted educator, holistic facilitator, radical wayfinder, and Earth lover. As a compassionate weaver of people and practices, I bring courage, presence, and soul into all I offer. My life’s journey - marked by transformation, devotion, and deep listening - has become my dharma: to guide others in living more wholeheartedly through the integration of heart, mind, and body.
Since moving to Vermont in 2007, I have walked the path of healing and awakening. Originally drawn to Vinyasa, Hatha, and Restorative yoga, I discovered Buti Yoga in 2017 and instantly resonated with its primal, intuitive movement. After earning my certification in 2018 and teaching Buti for two years, I returned to my roots and completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Alchemy of Yoga in 2020 - an experience that catalyzed my deeper purpose: to help others awaken their full, authentic expression through embodied and heart-centered practices. In 2025, I completed Laughing River Yoga’s Teacher Enhancement Program and am currently enrolled in their 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training with an expected completion date of Fall 2026.
For over a decade, I worked in public education as a school counselor and educator. As a 2018 Rowland Fellow and past President of the Vermont School Counseling Association (2019–2021), I focused my leadership on amplifying counselor voices and integrating social-emotional learning and wellness into school systems. My passion for systems-thinking, staff wellbeing, and restorative practices continues through my consulting work with schools to build more wholehearted, sustainable learning environments.
In 2023, I left her career in education to follow my soul’s calling into full-time entrepreneurship. In 2025, I opened The Sanctuary, a community wellness space in Northfield, Vermont. I also lead Wholehearted Counseling & Wellness, offering depth-oriented psychotherapy for seekers of the heart, and Wholehearted Schools, supporting educators and education systems in building cultures of wellness, connection, and care.
My work is rooted in mindfulness, intuition, body-based practices, and deep remembering. I hold a strong foundation in vipassana and metta meditation, guided by my late mentor Anthony Quintiliani, and have completed a yearlong Ayurvedic immersion with Claire Ragozzino. All of my offerings are intuitively led, heart-centered, and grounded in the belief that healing is both personal and collective.
I live in the woods of Northfield, Vermont with my husband and cat, Kylo. I am a childless stepmom of two young adults, a gluten-free foodie, and an adventurous nature lover who rides snowboards and wanders wildly through the mountains. Whether I’m teaching, counseling, or creating space, I show up as a guide, a connector, and a mirror - helping others find their way back home to themselves.
